Sometimes considered as a subspecies, m. gigantea ssp gigantea is a probably variable climber that occurs naturally from NE NSW across the coastal regions of Queensland, NT and possibly WA, as well as outside Australia in ajoining areas.
Is generally similar to M. pruriens except flowers are pale green clusters rather than white and purple, pods similarly covered in irritant hairs.
